Vanessa Briceno-Scherzer is a Philadelphia-based photographer with more than two decades of experience capturing people, stories, and moments that deserve to be seen. Born in Venezuela and raised surrounded by engineers, artists & classical musicians, she grew up understanding that art (in any form) carries something that ordinary words can't quite hold. Photography became her way of interpreting and celebrating the world around her…and yes, she’s fully bilingual in English and Spanish!

Since the early 2000s, Vanessa has built a practice that spans celebrity and editorial portrait photography, athlete photography, entertainment and performance photography, family portraiture, and professional headshots. Her clients include recording artists, classical musicians, professional athletes, actors, executives, and families — a range that reflects her core belief that every person, regardless of their field or their fame, carries something worth sharing and magnifying.

Her portrait and editorial work has taken her across the United States and internationally, with clients including Pitbull, Katy Perry, violinist Anne Akiko Meyers, members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the acclaimed string trio Time For Three, among many others. Whether working with a global recording artist or a family in the Philadelphia suburbs, the intention is always the same: find the frame that shows the world who this person really is, and make them proud to be seen in it.

For the past nine years, Vanessa also worked as a Creative Director and Producer, leading visual content projects for major brands, universities, networks and entertainment companies.
